‘On The Go’ Mom: Binxy Baby’s Shopping Cart Hammock

I was provided product from the brand for review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Shopping with kids can be a huge hassle, especially when you have a newborn. With two older kids, its been a while since I’ve had to carry an infant car seat around, and I’ve never felt comfortable putting them on the front of the cart. Usually, I end up putting the infant seat in the cart, which leaves no room for all the stuff that’s not even on my list at Target — so I was thrilled when Binxy Baby sent me the Shopping Cart Hammock to review.

It’s small enough to toss in a tote or diaper bag, easy to install, and it’s versatile enough to be use with a car seat, or just your baby — depending on what you prefer. I tried it with both the car seat, and as a sling for my newborn. I personally preferred to use it as a hammock, and I’ve lost count of how many compliments I’ve received about it.

The Shopping Cart Hammock is easy to use, although it’s definitely a two hand job, so you’ll need to install it before you get your baby out of the car. It’s compatable with most shopping cart, and the one issue I had, had nothing the do with the hammock and everything to do with the weird, new shopping carts at one particular Target location near me.

Harry seemed very comfortable and secure, and he naps frequently in it on shopping trips. When used with the car seat, it feels secured tightly, and when used as a hammock, buckles ensure the baby rests in a position that looks both comfortable and safe. In addition to being functional, it’s machine washable and, the fabric comes in several cute designs.

It can be purchased through the Binxy Baby website and Amazon.
